Charlie Nicholas has predicted a third successive win for Liverpool in the Premier League game at Anfield on Saturday evening.
Liverpool have already beaten Norwich and Southampton but get their toughest test of the season when Arsenal visit.
Writing for Sporting Life, Nicholas also questioned whether new Arsenal signing David Luiz would be exposed against the Liverpool front three.
“The team will definitely be positive going into it,” Nicholas said, ‘but the defensive frailties are still there and with Liverpool playing their front three, they will have pace and menace to deal with.
“The other way to look at it, is that it will be a test to see where Arsenal are in relation to the top four. And a huge question on the day will be whether David Luiz will be exposed.
“If Arsenal pin Liverpool back then it can give us hope. But they’re so strong at home this Liverpool team that I am expecting them to win this game.”
Nicholas predicted a 3-1 win for Liverpool.

There have been questions about David Luiz at Chelsea but he was actually a solid player for them in his second stint at the club, and he’s already showing his experience for Arsenal. According to WyScout, in the 18/19 Premier League for Chelsea, Luiz had a 90% pass accuracy and boasted 80% success rate in 85 total actions per 90 minutes. He won 50% of his defensive duels and 67% of his aerial duels. Arsenal are already showing signs of improvement at the back under Luiz. They kept a clean sheet in their first away game of the season which incredibly matches their record from last season. This will be a real test for both defences, though, with Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino up against Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Nicolas Pepe. We’re expecting goals from both sides and more from Liverpool.
