OPINION
Ovie Ejaria has come to life in his last couple of outings for Reading in the Championship. On Sunday he was tearing Cardiff to shreds and on Wednesday night he played a vital role in the Royals’ 1-1 draw against West Brom at The Hawthorns. Ejaria scored a cracking goal to put Reading into the lead and even though he conceded the late penalty that allowed the Baggies to rescue a point, it says a lot about the midfielder’s performance that fans were still completely blown away by his display. No one really saw this coming from Ejaria. At the start of the year he saw a loan stay at Rangers come to an end after a poor run of form but at the Madejski, the midfielder has started to show a lot of promise. Reading look set to buy Ejaria at the end of the season for £3million after they agreed a loan-to-buy deal with Liverpool in the summer. It may be early in the season but that £3million looks like a massive bargain for someone who has already been compared to Ronaldinho.

I would have taken a point before I left for the Hawthorns. Gutting to lose all 3 that late on. Another decent performance and the back 3 works so well. Puscas was very quiet but teams will try mark him out the game. Although he gave the penalty away ejaria was magic #readingfc

Class last night, back 3 especially solid again. Only concern is having players on the bench to help see the game out. Yiadom and Richards looked shattered last 20, asked to cover so much ground. Only really Rino as a good option to add legs to us. Ejaria is unplayable #ReadingFC

Great performance at the Hawthorns, never a easy stadium to win at. Not many team will win there this season. So I would’ve taken a point at the start. Lovely Worldee from O Ejaria. Take a bow my son. ????????????????????????????

Another game, another worldy from #readingfc – this time Ejaria. Well deserved after his performance against Cardiff. Some player he’s gonna be, hope that option to buy is a fixed price! https://t.co/GqoIPsssil
