After a summer of uncertainty, Harry Wilson was given the opportunity for Liverpool in pre-season and starred, scoring a long-range screamer against Lyon in their final friendly. The winger was given that chance after spearheading Derby County’s run to the play-off final in the Championship last season, finishing as their top scorer with 16 league goals. Despite impressing in attack, the Welsh international was loaned out to fellow Premier League side Bournemouth, in what would be his first full season in the top flight. His debut couldn’t have gone any better for the Cherries on Saturday, as the young forward scoring a long-range effort after a slight deflection, as Bournemouth secured their first victory of the season away at Aston Villa. The 22-year-old had five shots on goal at Villa Park, and impressed on the ball – attempted 21 passes with a 90.5% success rate [WhoScored].
