OPINION
After a very quiet summer transfer window in which Jurgen Klopp made no additions to Liverpool’s first-team, it is understandable to see so many fans on Twitter fantasising about who they would like to see come in at some stage in the future. It has been discussed on Twitter which player the fans would like from a Premier League club that is not in the top six and many supporters have made clear that they want Felipe Anderson from West Ham. While Anderson, 26, is a good player, it’s hard to see how he is someone who Liverpool really need. The Brazil international has also been quite inconsistent since joining West Ham from Lazio last year and there are surely better options than him. Wilfried Zaha, James Maddison, Ruben Neves and even Everton’s Richarlison are perhaps other players from outside the top-six that Liverpool fans should be wanting to see Klopp sign in either January or next summer’s transfer window. If Anderson goes on to have a stormer of a season at West Ham then yes, the £85,000-a-week [Spotrac] ace should be considered. But as of now, there are better options out there.
