Many Liverpool fans were blown away by Fabinho during their side’s 3-0 win over Burnley on Saturday and several even opted to name him their Man of the Match as a result. The Brazilian midfielder put in a battling display in order to impress against the Clarets as he made three tackles and two interceptions in order to help his side rack up their first Premier League clean sheet of the season (Source: WhoScored). In fact, no Reds player made as many tackles as Fabinho on Saturday and only Sadio Mane registered more interceptions. Fabinho aside from his defensive duties also helped dictate the tempt of the game. The 25-year-old made 62 passes, 82.3% of them found their mark, and only two players, Virgil Van Dijk and Andy Robertson, made more (Source: WhoScored). While Fabinho’s more attacking teammates will likely to steal the headlines from Saturday’s game, especially given that Sadio Mane appeared to be angry over Mohamed Salah not passing him the ball, at least he is getting the praise he deserves on social media from the Anfield faithful.
