Tuesday night’s international fixture between England and Kosovo saw Liverpool duo Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson impress in a 5-3 victory for the Three Lions.

Goals from Harry Kane, Raheem Sterling, and Jadon Sancho secured victory at St Mary’s, as England continued their 100% record in European qualification.

Henderson attempted 65 passes in the game according to WhoScored and finished with an impressive success rate of 91% after completing 59 of those.

One of only three other players with a better success rate was Sancho, who finished the game with 97% of his passes finding their intended target [WhoScored].

Reds’ midfielder Henderson was in awe of Sancho after the game when speaking to the Guardian, outlining his moments of brilliance in the game.

“I thought Sancho was brilliant at times,” he said.

“He was so good with the ball, his runs and his final product. There’s still a lot of positives.

“We’re still confident and feel we’re going in the right direction, but we’re far from being the perfect team. We want to be even better.”

Henderson’s comments after the game would surely have left Reds’ fans drooling over the potential of seeing Sancho eventually lining up for Jurgen Klopp’s men at Anfield in the future.

Looking at the Borussia Dortmund’s man’s stats via WhoScored, it is clear to see that the 19-year-old could add a new dimension to the way Liverpool go forward.

Sancho’s skill and flair make it easy for him to ghost past opponents on the ball, as he has already completed an average of 3.7 dribbles per game this season – more than anyone in the Liverpool squad.

The England star has also averaged two shots on goal and 2.3 key passes in each outing, which is highlighted in his impressive goal involvements, scoring twice and assisting three already in the Bundesliga.

Liverpool fans will surely be left dreaming over the future potential of seeing Sancho in a Reds’ shirt, with Henderson a big fan of the winger already.
