OPINION
Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz has been linked with a move to Anfield and as expected, some Liverpool fans on Twitter are drooling over the possibility of that happening. According to Italian news outlet Calcio Mercato, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are all interested in signing the 23-year-old attacking midfielder, who joined Napoli last year from Real Betis. In his debut season at San Paolo, Ruiz scored seven goals and supplied three assists in 40 appearances across all competitions to help Napoli finish second in Serie A and reach the quarter-finals of the Europa League. He is young, versatile enough to play in several midfield positions and could be the kind of player who would fit seamlessly into Jurgen Klopp’s midfield at Anfield. One Liverpool fans wouldn’t mind seeing the Reds spend £70million on signing Ruiz in the future. If he impresses over the course of this campaign, and against Liverpool in the Champions League next week, it might take more than that to agree a deal with Napoli.
