Liverpool’s current kit deal with New Balance has entered its final year, with their £45million deal with the sports manufacturer small in comparison to Manchester United, who earn £750million over 10 years with Adidas.
Now that Jurgen Klopp’s men are consistently challenging for silverware, they are attracting the interest of the biggest companies, with their deals with Warrior and New Balance small in comparison.
The Times journalist Paul Joyce shared a story on his personal Twitter account on Tuesday that Liverpool were closing in on signing a new kit deal with Nike.
Joyce reported that the deal would be one of the most lucrative deals in world football, with Barcelona’s current agreement with Nike being worth £98million.
Many Liverpool fans took to Twitter to react to the news, with many blown away by the prospect of the deal and claiming that it could lead to the Reds signing Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe at the beginning of next season.
