Richard Keys has admitted that he “fears” for Manchester United against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.

The bitter rivals face each other at Old Trafford on Sunday, with the Reds 15 points clear of their hosts.

And Keys believes that Jurgen Klopp’s men will have too much for United, citing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s dig about not winning a title for 30 years, as per Sky Sports, as an extra source of motivation.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, he said: “I fear for Utd today. Liverpool will be too strong.

“I don’t think it was a good idea for Ole to taunt them with the ‘30 year’ line. It might just go that long – the last spell like this lasted 26 years & I watched it all.

“1-4.”

OPINION

At this stage, a Manchester United win would be a massive upset, and that speaks volumes as to just how wide the chasm between the two sides has become in recent years. Once upon a time in the not too distant past, the prospect of Liverpool going to Old Trafford and winning 4-1 would have been laughed out of town. Now, however, you’re looking at this one and wondering if United can limit them to four goals. Of course, there is always the potential for an upset, but it would take something pretty special this afternoon for United to get anything out of this game, let alone all three points. Keys could well be on the money is assessment here – United should be concerned.
