Liverpool have set their sights on poaching Crystal Palace’s 14-year-old talent Zion Atta, according to TEAMtalk.

The outlet claims that every one of the Premier League’s established top six are circling around the impressive attacker, who is making big strides at Selhurst Park.

However, the Eagles are expected to fend off interest from the Reds and everybody else to keep hold of the promising teenager, who they only signed from Millwall a year ago.

It’s anticipated that Atta will feature for Palace’s Under-18s at some point this season despite how young he is.

OPINION

It’s no surprise that all the Premier League’s big boys are taking a look at a 14-year-old who is expected to be playing for the Under-18s team at Selhurst Park this season. That tells you all you need to know about how talented the young man is and how highly Palace rate him. It would be a surprise if Palace allowed him to fly the nest just a year after signing him, particularly when they clearly view him as a massively exciting prospect. It’s always good for teams to be on the lookout for top young talents, because that’s how good teams continue to be good. You’ve always got to be bringing through youngsters who can eventually replace your current crop of stars, which is what all of these teams want to do with Atta. Unfortunately for them, it seems as if Palace are keeping a tight grip on the teenager, who is thought to be happy with how things are progressing with the London side.
