Wolves defender Conor Coady has predicted Liverpool will win their first-ever Premier League title this season.

The former Reds’ academy player is convinced his boyhood club will claim the silverware under Jurgen Klopp, as they don’t appear to be panicking at the beginning of this campaign.

Coady compared Liverpool to the Manchester City of last season, and the way that they can outscore any opponent they come up against in the Premier League.

“I know it’s early doors, but I think with Liverpool this year they don’t seem to be panicking,” he said on Soccer AM, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.

“People are talking about them conceding and not keeping clean sheets but when they do they think it’s okay cause we can score another. City seemed like that last year.”

OPINION

Liverpool are flying at the minute, and it is hard to see where that is going to come to an end in the Premier League. They have started the season in perfect style, winning all eight of their games, and already hold an eight-point gap at the top with their nearest rivals Manchester City already losing twice against Wolves and Norwich City. The Reds’ have the opportunity to extend their winning streak in the league to 18 games when they face rivals Manchester United after the international break, something that would really establish them as the top team currently in England. Coady has slightly insulted the Reds’ defence by saying that even if they concede goals they can outscore their opponents. Liverpool currently have the best defensive record in the league, which is joined by one of the most prolific attacks in the world – something that should guide them to their first Premier League title.
