Liverpool have joined the hunt for Red Bull Salzburg forward Erling Braut Haaland, according to Calciomercato.

The Italian outlet claim on their website that the young Norwegian international is on the radar of Serie A giants Juventus, who are set to be rivalled by a number of Premier League clubs.

Calciomercato report that Liverpool are eyeing a move for the 19-year-old, with Manchester United and Tottenham also interested in making their move for the prolific forward.

Haaland scored for the Austrian side in their recent 4-3 Champions League defeat against Liverpool at Anfield and has already scored 15 goals in all competitions this season.

OPINION

Despite being only 19-years-old, Haaland is one of the hottest forward’s in the world right now and his form is attracting interest from some of the biggest clubs on top of that. The young Norwegian is untouchable in all competitions and has taken to the Champions League with ease, scoring four goals in 106 minutes of European action. His 11 goals in eight Austrian Bundesliga games place him as one of the best in the world in the final third at this moment in time. Should he be able to continue that form and prove himself as a consistent goal scorer, Liverpool could secure themselves one of the hottest prospects in the world. They will have to act quickly though, with a lot of other clubs queuing up to try and secure his signature in the future. Haaland would also bring great strength in depth in the final third at Liverpool, and Jurgen Klopp would no doubt be delighted to have him in his side for many years to come.
