OPINION
Arsenal may have suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Sheffield United on Monday night, but that has not stopped a section of Liverpool supporters from drooling over Matteo Guendouzi on Twitter with some even wanting Jurgen Klopp to sign the 20-year-old midfielder. Guendouzi has been one of the Gunners’ best players this season. WhoScored’s average rating in the Premier League this term ranks Guendouzi as the second-best player in Unai Emery’s squad for the way he has marshalled the Arsenal midfield. Guendouzi can pass and tackle, so he is a very well-rounded midfielder. Also, given the fact that he is only 20-years-old, there is the potential for him to grow into an even better player. Liverpool may need to assess their central midfield options next summer with players like James Milner and Adam Lallana reaching the end of their contracts. Could Guendouzi be someone who Jurgen Klopp sets his sights on? Although it seems unlikely at the moment, these Liverpool supporters certainly hope that is what happens.

Mateo Guendouzi a shining light in Arsenal's loss. Their best midfield player. Has tonnes of confidence and takes the ball from deep and can dribble forward or play forward progressive passes. Still only 19/20 as well. Tierney & Holding need to be brought into Arsenal's defence.

#SHUARS the only good thing Unai has done for Arsenal is sign Guendouzi. Top talent!
