OPINION
Sepp van den Berg scored his third goal in his eighth appearance for the Netherlands’ Under-19s side on Tuesday as they won 5-0 against Moldova. Van den Berg, 17, joined Liverpool in the summer from PEC Zwolle and has already played his way into Jurgen Klopp’s thinking by earning his senior debut for the European champions when he came off the bench in the Carabao Cup win over MK Dons last month. Although it may have only been a short cameo appearance at Stadium MK, it still proved that van den Berg is in Klopp’s plans. Liverpool fans are starting to think that the Dutch teenager needs to be on Klopp’s plans more though after he impressed on Tuesday for his nation’s Under-19s side. It was only against Moldova, but it does not take much to send some Liverpool fans into a frenzy about one of the club’s highly-rated youngsters. Van den Berg needs to just focus on impressing for Liverpool’s Under-23s at the moment rather than getting too carried away, like some of these supporters are.
