OPINION
Georginio Wijnaldum was in superb form for Liverpool in the first half against Manchester United on Sunday and a lot of supporters were quick to point that out on Twitter during the match at Old Trafford. Wijnaldum has been someone who’s been criticised regularly this season but those critics were made to eat their words in the opening 45 minutes against United with the Netherlands international bossing the midfield. Wijnaldum was making runs, getting onto the ball, beating players with his skill and firing shots at goal. Man United’s midfield had little answer for the former Newcastle midfielder, who has been due a performance like this. Hopefully the Dutchman can continue his form into the second half because Liverpool really need to find a way of breaking through this Man United defence if they want to keep their 100 per cent record intact. The Reds have some more tough matches coming up, so winning this one is massive.
