COMMENTARY
Many Liverpool fans went wild over BT Sport posting a very interesting stat about Reds duo Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson on Twitter. The broadcaster pointed out the pair had been involved with 30 assists for Jurgen Klopp’s side in the league and compared their numbers to some very big players in Europe. BT Sport pointed out Barcelona trio Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele had only managed the same amount of assists between the three of them and it’s worth noting they’re the attackers for their respective club, unlike Robertson and Alexander-Arnold who play in defence for the Reds. One Liverpool fans dubbed the stat as being crazy while several other Reds supporters just used the stat as an excuse to rave about how good Alexander-Arnold and Robertson are. While the pair are likely competing among themselves to get the most assists this season, Klopp is likely grateful to have not one, but two full-backs, who are capable are creating chance after chance as that’s rare.
