COMMENTARY
Many Liverpool fans were unamused by their side’s failure to beat Napoli on Wednesday night as it means that the Reds will need a positive result against Red Bull Salzburg in their next Champions League fixture in order to confirm qualification to the last round of 16. So with the Reds only drawing 1-1 with Napoli, it’s no surprise to hear that some members of Jurgen Klopp’s side struggled and it’s even less of surprise that a number of fans opted to take their frustrations out on these players. One of the players who clearly wasn’t at their best was attacker Mohamed Salah. The 27-year-old winger managed to only have one shot on goal, register only one key pass, was dispossessed once as well as lost the ball twice due to poor touches (Source: WhoScored). When you consider Salah is a world-class talent, he has scored nine goals in 18 games this season, he is capable of being way more influential on matches. While one Liverpool fan harshly claimed the Eqypt international was having his worst season since leaving Fiorentina in 2015, even he can admit his performance on Wednesday wasn’t up to scratch,
