Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been in superb form for Liverpool lately and he appears to have transferred that form into international duty with England. On Thursday night, the former Arsenal midfielder scored the opening goals in England’s 7-0 demolition of Montenegro in Euro 2020 qualifying at Wembley. It was superb to see Oxlade-Chamberlain get on the scoresheet for the Three Lions and it just goes to show how much he has improved this season after returning to full fitness. Liverpool fans, understandably, were full of praise for their midfielder for his performance before he was substituted off in the 56th minute. James Maddison replaced Oxlade-Chamberlain so it was good to see the Reds star get through the match unscathed as much as it was to see him score a very well-worked goal. Let’s hope we see more of that from the Ox in a Liverpool shirt over the coming weeks. His form deserves more starts.
