Naby Keita has been blown away by the performances of Liverpool teammate Sadio Mane in the past couple of seasons.

The Reds’ midfielder admitted that the Senegalese international is currently in the greatest moment of his career after being deservedly nominated for the Ballon d’Or alongside six of his teammates.

Keita suggested that the 27-year-old can get even better and that he will not lighten up in his quest to become even better at Anfield in the coming seasons.

“He’s living his greatest moments right now, so it’s for him now to remain focused, to do more, and not to lighten up,” he told Liverpool’s official website.

Mane won the Premier League Golden Boot award last season alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mohamed Salah and has already scored six goals this campaign.

All you can do is sit back and applaud Mane when you recognise his dramatic rise to the top after coming from nowhere into the Premier League. The African talisman had to work his way up to Southampton, but as soon as he joined Liverpool, there was no stopping his progress, and the Ballon d’Or nomination is the cherry on top. Keita is clearly a massive fan of the electric winger, and it is scary to think that he believes he can get even better. Premier League defenders will be shaking at the thought of Mane becoming even better, as he is already a massive handful to try and deal with this season. Mane has been in sensational form in the final third, averaging 2.5 shots on goal per game according to WhoScored – as he continues to reap havoc despite playing in a wide role alongside Roberto Firmino since arriving at the club.
