OPINION
Elijah Dixon-Bonner has signed a new deal with Liverpool and a lot of fans on Twitter are thrilled to hear the news. The Reds confirmed via their official Twitter account on Monday that the 18-year-old had put pen to paper on a contract extension. Dixon-Bonner is only 18 but is already a regular for Neil Critchley’s Under-23s side and has been handed the captain’s armband to wear on several occasions. He has mainly played as a central midfielder this season but the London-born teen can also play in more attacking positions and has been known to play out on the wing before. Liverpool fans are happy to see him get a contract extension, although comparisons to Mohamed Salah and Lionel Messi may be slightly premature. One supporter points out that Dixon-Bonner is one to watch and based on the fact that he is doing so well in the Under-23s, we would have to agree.
