ESPN published an article on Monday starting that Liverpool are concerned about Mohamed Salah after the knock he took in the 3-1 victory over Manchester City on Sunday. The Egyptian international has been struggling with the problem ever since he suffered a hefty challenge from Leicester City midfielder Hamza Choudhury last month. It saw him miss the draw with Manchester United, while it proved to be a problem against the Red Devils’ city rivals, as well. It’s said that the Reds wanted Salah to remain on Merseyside to have a scan on the ankle, but the 27-year-old has insisted on reporting for international duty with his country before he has it. Therefore the European champions face something of a wait before discovering the severity of the player’s problem. However, the reaction from the Liverpool fans was somewhat mixed. There are some who called for him to be withdrawn from the Egypt squad, but others who remained calm, believing that he would be fine after the international break. I guess we will have to wait and see which train of thought proves to be the correct one.
