In a near-perfect start to the season, Liverpool have had a number of standout stars in all competitions.

The Carabao Cup has given Jurgen Klopp the opportunity to experiment whilst offering young academy players the chance to come in and make an impact on the Reds.

Players such as Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott were given the nod against the MK Dons in the third round, and they certainly did not disappoint in the 2-0 win.

Klopp could have easily have reverted back to his full-strength side when drawn against Arsenal in the next round but decided to keep faith in a number of the youngsters who got them to that position.

Elliott once again shined at Anfield, and was the standout starlet in the clash, winning a penalty and highlighting his talents on one of the biggest stages.

Every time the 17-year-old shines though, it is a reminder that the Reds could still be forced into a tribunal for his signature. Fulham are still demanding a transfer fee for the winger that arrived on a pre-contract deal in the summer.

Football Insider have reported that the Reds are preparing a new offer to the Championship side to avoid going to a tribunal over the summer move.

The reputable football outlet claim that Scott Parker’s side are demanding more than £7million, as Liverpool look to finalise the negotiations.

Elliott has certainly shown enough for Liverpool to push and complete a deal, as the more he impresses, the more Fulham will surely want for the teenager.

Finalising the deal would surely set Elliott free and push him towards cementing a spot in the first-team set up as he has already highlighted the talent he possesses.

Liverpool fans were blown away by the teen during one of his latest performances and they would certainly want to see him in Premier League action rather than with the under 23s.

The Reds must go all out to finalise the deal with Fulham and that could really give Elliott the platform to push on at Anfield this season.
