Kamara blown away by Salah

Chris Kamara has hailed Liverpool talisman Mo Salah, claiming that the Egyptian King has “eyes in the back of his head”.

The 27-year-old scored one and assisted another in the Reds’ 3-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon, and Kamara was suitably impressed by the wide man’s output.

Speaking on Goals on Sunday (December 8th, 12.15pm, Sky Sports Premier League), he said: “He’s got eyes in the back of his head.

“That is incredible brilliance.”

OPINION

By his own dizzying standards, this has perhaps been a bit of a quiet season for Mo Salah. There will be those who argue that he has spent most of the campaign in the shadow of Sadio Mane, with the Senegalese putting in some irresistible performances this term. But yesterday, with Mane on the bench, Salah really came to the fore. With five shots and four key passes, as per Whoscored, not to mention his goal, his assist, and a match rating of 8.30, he was at the centre of just about everything for the Reds, and was fully deserving of the kind of hyperbolic praise being lavished on him by Kamara here. His assist for Naby Keita’s goal in particular was almost otherworldly. To spot the run of the Guinean is one thing, but to then execute his back heel with the precision and timing that he did was truly world class. A timely reminder of why he is the still the king of Anfield.
