OPINION

Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino certainly looked off his game in the first half of the Reds’ Premier League clash with Watford on Saturday lunchtime. The Brazilian has been slightly below par for the last few weeks, truth be told, and he’s certainly not been performing at the level of his fellow attackers Mohamed Salah and, particularly Sadio Mane. The 28-year-old hasn’t become a bad player overnight, of course, but when you’ve performed to such a high level in the past you will inevitably be picked upon when you fail to meet those standards. Firmino was very careless in possession in the opening stanza at Anfield, though, and he produced an unusually poor touch after being handed a tasty pass from Salah in a promising position. That pretty much summed up his first half, and manager Jurgen Klopp will likely be contemplating swapping him out for Divock Origi or Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after the break if he continues like this.
