Plenty of Liverpool fans have been reacting to the omission of Andrew Robertson from their line-up to face Bournemouth this afternoon, with quite a few Kopites seemingly pleased with the decision.

The Reds’ official Twitter channel @LFC announced the starting line-up and substitutes an hour before kick-off, with six changes from the side that began the 2-0 FA Cup defeat to Chelsea in midweek.

Robertson’s place at left-back is taken by James Milner, who has played a handful of games in that position throughout the season, most recently in the FA Cup win over Everton two months ago. It brings an end to an 11-match run of starts in the Premier League for the Scotland left-back, dating back to the December victory over Watford when Milner deputised in that position, and it is just the second time in the current league campaign that he hasn’t started.

The 25-year-old hasn’t even been named among the substitutes, with being the first league game all season when he hasn’t at least featured in the matchday squad. Despite Jurgen Klopp’s decision not to include the Scot today, these Liverpool fans on Twitter seemed content with Robertson being left out, especially with Wednesday night’s must-win Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid on the horizon, while some were pleased to see Milner getting a runout:
