A number of Liverpool fans were less than enthusiastic after reading that the club have been linked with a move for a budding La Liga talent.
In The Mirror, David Maddock reported that the Reds have been monitoring young Valencia winger Ferran Torres, who is also wanted by Barcelona and Real Madrid. The 20-year-old’s contract at the Mestalla runs out in 2021, so if he refuses to agree a new deal with his current club, Liverpool may be able to sign him for nothing on a pre-contract at the turn of the year. The journalist shared a link to the story on his Twitter profile @MaddockMirror.

Torres only turned 20 a month ago but has already clocked up 88 appearances for Valencia, with 20 starts in La Liga and five in the Champions League this season. His 35 appearances in the current campaign have yielded six goals and seven assists. Along with the young Spaniard, Liverpool have also been recently linked with possible moves for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho (as per Daily Mail) and RB Leipzig centre-forward Timo Werner (as per The Athletic).
These Reds fans weren’t enthused by the club’s links with the Valencia winger, with one supporter demanding that the Merseysiders instead clinch deals for Sancho and Werner:
