Plenty of Liverpool fans have reacted with horror and disdain to a leaked image of what is rumoured to be the club’s away kit for next season, despite Empire of the Kop on Twitter (@empireofthekop) voicing approval for the turquoise design.

As per Footy Headlines, Instagram user @@ocorinthianonyusa uploaded an image of what they claimed to be the Reds’ away kit for 2020/21 as Nike take over from New Balance as the club’s kit supplier from the beginning of June. According to Footy Headlines, the rumoured Liverpool away shirt is “predominantly teal” with black logos and collar, with Nike believed to be continuing the recent usage of the Liverbird rather than the contemporary Liverpool crest.

Nike will supplant New Balance as the Reds’ kit supplier despite the latter’s attempts to retain the contract by taking the club to the High Court, claiming that it had reneged on their partnership. However, the High Court ruled that Nike’s £150m five-year offer was more favourable to the club and threw out the claim from New Balance. [via The Guardian]

These Liverpool fans on Twitter hated the leaked turquoise away kit for next season and did not hold back in their condemnation of the rumoured shirt design:
