Liverpool remain the club most likely to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund in the summer but would need to sell either Mohamed Salah or Sadio Mane to sign the €130m (£118.92m)-rated youngster.
That is according to ex-Premier League player and Norwegian pundit Jan Aage Fjortoft on Twitter (via @JanAageFjortoft), whose update was subsequently shared by @AnfieldEdition.
Liverpool remains the most likely destination for Jadon Sancho this summer but with Borussia Dortmund asking for €130m, the Reds would have to sell either Mane or Salah for a deal to be possible.

Sancho was linked with a possible move to Anfield last month by the Daily Mail, although The Athletic reporter James Pearce claimed that the Reds were more likely to move for RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner as his transfer fee would be more economical.
The England winger, who turned 20 yesterday, has hit 17 goals in 35 appearances for Borussia Dortmund this season (0.49 goals per game), a strike rate broadly similar to that of Salah’s 20 goals in 40 games (0.5 per game) and Mane’s 18 goals in 38 matches (0.47 per game) in the current campaign. Earlier this month, Robbie Savage said on BBC Radio 5 Live that the Reds should sign Sancho in the summer and consider dropping or selling Salah as a result.
However, these Liverpool fans on Twitter refused to entertain the prospect of selling one of their key attackers to raise funds for the England winger, with one Kopite complaining that owners FSG are “a joke” over the scenario:
€130m sounds expensive for a bench warmer

Reds aren’t selling either.

Why would we need to sell?!

I say don’t sell them, they are the reasons we won the champions league and hopefully premier league

Can’t see us selling either and wouldn’t want us to

Should Liverpool consider selling either Salah or Mane if doing so would pave the way for Sancho to come to Anfield? Join in the discussion by commenting below!
