In a Q&A for The Athletic, James Pearce name-checked Julian Nagelsmann and Pepijn Lijnders as two potential successors to Jurgen Klopp when asked about who would eventually take the reins from the current Liverpool manager.
In response to that answer, @LFCTransferRoom on Twitter asked followers which of the two they would prefer. However, many Reds fans didn’t plump for either of those, instead dismissing the question due to Klopp’s track record in charge at Anfield.
Fan Opinion: Would you be happy with Julian Nagelsmann as Jürgen Klopp’s sucesor, or would you prefer Pep Lijnders? ?? https://t.co/n7NNZkmjUx

The 52-year-old delivered the Champions League for Liverpool last season and also won the UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup in 2019, as well as steadily improving the Reds’ league position since 2015/16 and guiding them to the brink of a first Premier League title in the current campaign.
Lijnders has been Klopp’s assistant at Anfield since June 2018, having previously worked with the club prior to him taking the manager’s job at NAC Breda that year. Nagelsmann, despite being just 32, spent three years in charge at Hoffenheim before taking the reins at RB Leipzig, who he has taken to the Champions League quarter-finals this season.
However, these Liverpool fans on Twitter batted off talk of Klopp’s successor and have put their faith firmly in the current Anfield boss:
I dont like this kind of talk.. since i dont feel time to talk about his successor
