There has been a mixed reaction from some Liverpool fans to a transfer report linking them with a possible summer move for a current Premier League winger.

Football Insider reported this morning that the Reds have identified Wolves’ Adama Traore as a potential signing if they lose either Mohamed Salah or Sadio Mane in the summer amid fears that they are the likeliest of their first team regulars to leave, with Real Madrid reportedly keen on bringing the latter to Spain (as per Football Insider).

According to Football Insider, the 24-year-old Wolves winger fits the profile of a “super-quick, technically gifted and mobile” option that Jurgen Klopp likes for that position, with Liverpool scouts reportedly delivering rave reviews about Traore to sporting director Michael Edwards.

The 24-year-old has impressed for Wolves this season with six goals and 10 assists, a vast improvement on his 2018/19 return of one goal and three assists, while he is also renowned for his blistering pace – a recent report from Birmingham Live claimed that he is the fastest player in the Premier League, clocking a sprint of just under 23 miles per hour.

Rumours of Liverpool’s reported interest in Traore polarised these Reds fans on Twitter, with some believing he “could be a world beater” and others deriding him as a mere “speed merchant“:
