A number of Liverpool fans have begged the club’s owners FSG to complete a deal for transfer target Timo Werner after the RB Leipzig striker expressed his wishes about his next career move.
Christian Falk, head of football at German media outlet Sport Bild, tweeted (via @cfbayern) that the 24-year-old has ruled out any possibility of signing for Bayern Munich and wishes instead to join up with the Premier League leaders due to the presence of Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.
Our Story: Timo Werner will definitely not join Bayern this summer. @BILD_Sport He rules out a Transfer to another German club. also because of Jürgen Klopp he would like to take the step to Liverpool @LFC

This latest update follows reports from Sky Sports and the Evening Standard last week which claimed that Werner has a desire to sign for Liverpool, with the former reporting that the striker would make the move if the Reds pay his £52m release clause before its 15 June expiry date. The RB Leipzig attacker, who has been linked with the Merseysiders since last autumn (Bleacher Report, via talkSPORT), has found the net 27 times in 36 appearances for his club this season.
In the wake of Falk’s update on the transfer saga, these Liverpool fans were whipped into a frenzy and implored the club to bring Werner to Anfield:
