Some Liverpool fans have dismissed reports claiming that the Reds’ transfer target Timo Werner is currently learning English.
As claimed by Bleacher Report and shared on Twitter by @LFCTransferRoom, the RB Leipzig striker is taking English lessons and is reportedly excited about the prospect of moving to the Premier League, with the 24-year-old strongly linked with a summer move to Anfield, according to Sport Bild.

Werner has been linked with Liverpool for several months, with Bleacher Report claiming last autumn [via talkSPORT] that they were interested in the Germany international, and Sport Bild reported last week that Jurgen Klopp is keen to meet with the player to discuss a potential move.
However, some Reds supporters weren’t getting too excited by reports of Werner learning English as they pointed out that the striker is already fluent in the language, as evidenced when he gave an interview in that tongue after RB Leipzig’s win over Tottenham two months ago.
Here is a flavour of the reaction from some Liverpool fans to the latest report on Werner:
He did an interview after the spurs game in perfect English. This is fake news
