A number of Liverpool fans on social media have been reacting to a video posted by the club’s official Twitter account @LFC which showed the first team squad enjoying an online yoga session and toasting a young member of the Reds’ playing ranks.

With the UK on lockdown and the Premier League on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic, Liverpool’s players are training at home and the squad came together for a communal yoga session. They also sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to young talent Harvey Elliott, who turned 17 last Saturday.

The video clip shared by @LFC shows the members of Jurgen Klopp’s squad in good spirits and exchanging plentiful banter over their various choices of clothing, as well as some of the yoga poses adopted. With a clear message to stay at home during the COVID-19 pandemic, this was not the only ‘home video’ doing the rounds on Liverpool-related social media of late – James Milner tweeted footage of himself showing some skills in his garden (via @JamesMilner).

These Liverpool fans took to Twitter to express their enjoyment of the squad’s yoga video, with some professing that it provided a welcome morale boost to their day:
