After video footage of Liverpool’s rumoured home kit for next season was released yesterday to acclaim from numerous Reds fans, a video leak of a purported away shirt subsequently emerged online – but this one elicited plenty of unfavourable reaction from an element of the club’s support, with one fan describing it as “nasty“.
Twitter user @TheDalglishDink shared a video clip showing a close-up of a tangible shirt in a greyish/light blue colour in a camouflage-esque shadow design, with black piping on a round-neck collar and the ends of the sleeves. The video was later shared by Footy Headlines and Twitter channel @AnfieldEdition, with multiple kit leaks doing the rounds online ahead of Nike replacing New Balance as Liverpool’s kit supplier from June.

Images of a very similar design (albeit in a deeper teal shade) were previously shared by Twitter user @esvaphane and later picked up by Footy Headlines, a generally reliable website which often gets genuine new kit designs first. Those images sparked a backlash from some Liverpool supporters and it seems that plenty of Reds fans aren’t too impressed with the leaked video footage of the rumoured away kit either.
Here is a flavour of reaction from some of the Anfield faithful:
Oh dear…Come on Nike you should have the best kit designer….
