Plenty of Liverpool fans have had their say on the latest transfer rumour involving former Reds player Philippe Coutinho – although it isn’t one linking him with a return to Anfield.

Spanish media outlet Sport reported that the Brazilian, currently on loan at Bayern Munich from Barcelona, is being targeted by Leicester in a move which would see him reunited with Brendan Rodgers, who brought him to Liverpool seven years ago. The news was subsequently shared on Twitter by @LFCTransferRoom.

According to Sport, Rodgers is hopeful of potentially securing a loan deal for the 27-year-old, who last month had been linked with a possible return to Anfield by Sport [via Daily Express] if Bayern Munich declined to make his loan move permanent. However, The Mirror reported this week that Liverpool have “zero interest” in bringing him back to Merseyside for a second spell.

Coutinho left the Reds for Barcelona in 2018 in a £142 deal (as per BBC) but Jurgen Klopp’s team have thrived since then, eliminating his Barca side en route to winning the Champions League last year and on course to lift the Premier League in 2020. These Liverpool fans on Twitter gave their take on the rumours linking the Brazil playmaker with a potential reunion with Rodgers at Leicester:
