Plenty of Liverpool fans have said they would not be bothered if Philippe Coutinho ends up at one of their Premier League rivals, following the latest reports from Spanish media on the Brazilian’s future.

Sport have claimed that representatives from Chelsea have been in touch with Barcelona, the 27-year-old’s parent club, about a possible return to England. A few days previously, the same media outlet reported that Brendan Rodgers, his former manager at Liverpool, wants to bring him to Leicester. As noted by the Evening Standard, Barcelona’s Antoine Griezmann said in a Twitch stream that he would like to wear the number seven shirt at Camp Nou – the number that Coutinho had worn prior to his loan move to Bayern Munich.

A return to Anfield seems out of the question, with The Mirror claiming that Liverpool have no intention of re-signing him. Last month, Sport had reported [via Daily Express] that the Reds were potentially looking at taking him back if Bayern Munich declined to make his loan move permanent. When Coutinho left for Barcelona in January 2018, he reportedly paid €10m (£8.83m) of his own money in an effort to accelerate the transfer (Mundo Deportivo, via Calciomercato).

Empire of the Kop on Twitter (@empireofthekop) asked followers if they would be angered by the Brazilian potentially moving to Chelsea, with these Liverpool fans responding to insist that they’d have problem with that possibility:

Liverpool fans, would it annoy you if Coutinho were to join Chelsea or would you be in any way  bothered? Comment below with your views!
