It was a big test for us, which we came through extraordinarily well. Despite the concerns before kick-off with the setbacks to Joe Gomez and Joel Matip, Fabinho was sent to partner Virgil van Dijk at centre-back once more and shone through.
This probably puts to bed any necessity of bringing in another defender this summer, due to the options that we have in midfield that could provide more game time for those players outside of the starting eleven.
