What a magnificent time it is to be a Liverpool fan, and it has just got that little bit better.
After what has seemed like an eternity, The Athletic revealed on Thursday morning that a deal had been agreed for Thiago Alcantara to move to Anfield on a deal that is believed to be in the region of £25m.
The report added that this move has no implication on the future of Georginio Wijnaldum, who is believed to be attracting serious interest from Barcelona who is now being managed by his fellow compatriot Ronald Koeman.
By the looks of it, it brings to an end to one of the longest transfer sagas in living memory that we’ve had to go through. We can all breathe a humongous sigh of relief.
