Borussia Dortmund are reportedly keeping tabs on Liverpool striker Divock Origi ahead of a potential summer swoop, according to Football Insider

The 25-year-old has been widely tipped to leave Anfield at the end of this season as he finds opportunities hard to come by.

La Liga side Real Sociedad have been linked with the former Lille man, as well as a number of Premier League clubs.

Now, a recruitment source has told this fresh report that Bundesliga giants Dortmund are among the clubs considering a cut-price raid for Origi.

The report also claims the Reds could be willing to accept offers of around £12million for the Belgian striker, having previously wanted £20million in January.

Origi has certainly seen a diminished involvement this season, perhaps down to scoring just once in 17 appearances in all competitions.

Swap deal for Erling Haaland perhaps?

Liverpool can’t afford to be picky with Origi after this season, they simply must allow the forward to move on and view any incoming funds as a bonus.

Although the mooted £12m is clearly on the low side of his valuation, given the moments he has stepped up to the plate, with such negligible impact this season it’s no surprise the club would be willing to cut their losses.

Diogo Jota’s impact this season has perhaps highlighted just how little return Jurgen Klopp was getting from his Belgium international on a regular basis.
