Liverpool have once again been named as a potential suitor for Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic as speculation increases over the Serbian’s future.

This time the Reds are mentioned by Corriere dello Sport (via Sport Witness) alongside Real Madrid and Manchester United as possible candidates for his transfer.

Previously linked with Borussia Dortmund, West Ham and Tottenham, the calibre of interest in Vlahovic is increasing all the time and a summer move looks to be almost an inevitability.

The 6’3 Serbian boosted his stock yet further on Wednesday night with a powerfully struck finish against the Republic of Ireland.

Prior to this season, Vlahovic, 21, has been cutting his teeth in Italy, scoring just six goals in 30 league appearances last season.

However, this term the young Serb has already doubled that tally in three fewer outings, with matches remaining in the campaign.

L4L’s VIEW

Jurgen Klopp is expected to sign at least one striker before next season, with a view to offering alternatives to the current structure.

Vlahovic will certainly bring that as somewhat of a throwback frontman, similarly to Divock Origi, although the Belgian’s Anfield future has been plunged into serious doubt.

This term the Reds have struggled to break sides down, particularly at home, who defend deep and suffocate Klopp’s men for the room in behind.

Signing a player in the ilk of Vlahovic will afford Liverpool the capabilities to become a threat aerially and thus, make simply sitting deep a dangerous option for visiting sides.
