Liverpool could look to sell Alisson at the end of this season and cash in on him in the process, according to a fresh claim from abroad.

The Brazilian superstar has been one of the most influential players at Anfield over the past 30 years, proving to be an unbelievable model of consistency in goal.

Ever since Alisson joined Liverpool from Roma in the summer of 2018 he has been considered by many as the best goalkeeper in the world, and he has been integral to the Reds’ success.

While much focus is on the futures of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah, due to their contracts expiring next summer, a key update has now emerged regarding Alisson.

According to a report from Spain, Liverpool are willing to sell the 31-year-old at the end of the current campaign, receiving a hefty fee for him, potentially from a Saudi Pro League club.

Giorgi Mamardashvili has arrived from Valencia and could head to Anfield after a season-long loan spell at the La Liga club, paving the way for the Reds’ current No.1 to move on to pastures new.

Our thoughts on Alisson leaving Liverpool in 2025…

Put simply, Liverpool shouldn’t even entertain the idea of Alisson leaving the club in 2025, considering he remains as good as ever, and one of the very first names on Arne Slot’s team sheet.

At 31, the Brazil star is still far from old for a goalkeeper and there is no reason why he can’t remain world-class for many years to come, with Van Dijk rightly hailing him in recent times, saying:

“My relationship with him since the moment he walked into the club has been special. We’ve played so many games together, we won obviously everything together. You know, he’s an incredible, incredible goalkeeper, [and an] incredible human being as well.”

While Mamardashvili is an exciting signing in his own right, he isn’t yet at Alisson’s level and needs to continue maturing, so bringing in the latter for the former from next season onwards makes no sense.

The Liverpool legend is contracted at Anfield until the summer of 2027, so there is no rush to even think about moving him on for a while yet.
