Liverpool have been given an injury boost ahead of their EFL Cup clash away to Brighton on Wednesday evening, with journalist David Lynch giving a key update.
The Reds make the trip to the Amex Stadium for a midweek cup encounter, looking to make it into the quarter-finals of the competition.
Slot’s men then welcome Brighton to Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, in the second of two quickfire meetings.
Liverpool have a number of injury problems to contend with currently, with the likes of Alisson, Harvey Elliott and Diogo Jota among those who are absent.
Thankfully, one positive update has emerged in the lead-up to the first Brighton game on Wednesday, with Lynch taking to X to confirm that Conor Bradley is expected to be in contention to feature after a recent layoff:
“We don’t want to go too early on Conor Bradley, but when someone comes into a team of Liverpool’s stature then of course there is always comparisons. The early signs are he looks sound defensively and then his goal was so impressive with his composure and how he found the far corner.
“He barely wasted a pass and looks like a really mature player. Physically he looks excellent and, like all the Liverpool players, he can really handle the ball.”
Bradley has such a bright future at Anfield, even though it must be frustrating to play second fiddle to Alexander-Arnold, but this could be a wonderful opportunity for him to remind supporters of his brilliance.
At worst, the 21-year-old will hopefully at least make an appearance from the substitutes’ bench – Joe Gomez is another option to start at right-back – but a full return to the side would be ideal.
