Liverpool will sign Milos Kerkez as things stand with it now truly a matter of time.
All the media noise right now suggests that a deal to sign Kerkez is both a matter of time and a matter of finding the right tweaks to a deal that is primed to be completed.
The key aspect of Liverpool’s move to sign the Hungarian has nothing to do with what they can offer Bournemouth – it’s clear that the Reds have cash to spend like at no other time in history – but Kerkez himself is the reason this will be done.
The player hasn’t at once seemed as though there is another club calling to him quite as much as Liverpool. His constantly social media flirting with the Reds all season was the first strong indicator that he would pick Anfield as his next destination.
And now his teammates are adding further weight behind the media noise.
After the Netherlands beat Malta 8-0 in a World Cup Qualifier on Thursday evening, Bournemouth talisman Justin Kluivert spoke to the Dutch football news outlet Voetbal Primeur about Kerkez.
The Dutch international said: “He’ll probably go there [to Liverpool]. I hope so for him. He hasn’t really said goodbye yet, but I hope he’ll make it happen there.”
Fabrizio Romano says Milos Kerkez “will be a Liverpool player” with only small details left to clear up
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano has made it perfectly clear that there is pretty much nothing standing between Liverpool and a move to sign Kerkez.
He reports: “I maintain my position, Milos Kerkez will be a Liverpool player. In this case, there are some small details to clarify with Bournemouth, but I maintain my position. I see Milos Kerkez going to Liverpool this summer.
“Then they still have to close these details. This is why, in this case, there is still no here we go, but it’s coming. I have told you several times, here we go soon. Here we go, it’s coming.
“Because it’s really a matter of small details. Let them work on these, because they had more contacts this week.
“One more round of official talks is needed, but this deal is absolutely on the right way to become a here we go for Milos Kerkez to Liverpool.”
