Liverpool have been linked with an exciting move to sign record-breaking Bournemouth teenager Eli Junior Kroupi.
It’s not the first or, indeed, even the second name Liverpool have been linked with.
Recent reports have suggested that Liverpool are among the teams lining up to snatch Argentine Marcos Senesi on a free transfer this summer when his contract with the Cherries expires on 30 June.
Amid Arne Slot speculation, manager Andoni Iraola has also been linked with a spectacular move to Anfield as his replacement, although a lot would need to happen for that to become reality.
Now, Sports Boom has linked Kroupi with a move to Liverpool, stating that “Liverpool are preparing to step up their pursuit of Bournemouth’s French wonderkid.”

Aston Villa is also linked as a realistic destination for Kroupi, where he will admittedly be afforded more regular minutes than at Liverpool.
Sports Boom’s report reads: “Liverpool believes they possess the pulling power to put themselves at the front of the queue and are increasingly confident they can persuade the French prodigy that Anfield is the perfect destination for the next stage of his career.
“Reds boss Arne Slot is understood to be planning firmly for next season and remains confident he will still be leading Liverpool into another campaign.
“Sources indicate the Dutchman has personally identified Kroupi as a player capable of becoming one of the Premier League’s standout attacking stars.
“Slot has been closely monitoring the youngster’s progress and sees him as a talent with enormous potential and a player who could thrive within Liverpool’s attacking system.”
Eli Junior Kroupi is going to be a superstar but he’s not what Liverpool need right now
Kroupi is one of the most technically proficient players in the Premier League, which is a staggering claim to make about a 19-year-old, but it’s true.
This video shows a small glimpse of the staggering ability the French striker has.

Kroupi’s wonderful strike against Manchester City on Tuesday clinched the Premier League title for Arsenal, while it also made him the highest scoring teenager in a debut season, eclipsing the likes of Robbie Keane and none other than Robbie Fowler.
This season, Kroupi has 13 Premier League goals from just 1,610 minutes of football. He’s going to be a superstar based on all available evidence, so it would be tremendous to see him at Liverpool.
BUT, where do Liverpool fit him in? They already have Hugo Ekitike and Alexander Isak, who cost a combined total of £204m last summer, with Bournemouth likely to demand a huge fee.
Additionally, Liverpool have a much greater need for elite wide attackers, like Yan Diomande and Bradley Barcola, so it would be a bit wasteful to commit a large transfer fee in an area they already have top talent – even if Ekitike is sidelined in the long-term with an Achilles rupture.
