Liverpool could miss out on signing PSG forward Bradley Barcola to Premier League champions Arsenal amid claims that the Gunners are preparing an offer.
The Reds are chasing a high-profile move to sign RB Leipzig star Yan Diomande, but the dream would be to see both Diomande and Barcola brought to Anfield.
Of course, this is highly unrealistic as it would likely cost over £200m to sign the pair of them, but while it remains to be seen if the Reds can sign Diomande, they could miss out on Barcola while they wait.
The Frenchman scored his first FIFA World Cup goal against Senegal this week, demonstrating his devastating pace to finish off a wonderful France attack.
PSG’s stock in Barcola stands to increase this summer, much like Diomande and RB Leipzig, with both wingers showcasing their wondrous ability on the ball on the biggest stage in Canada, Mexico and the USA.

Arsenal and Mikel Arteta want to hijack Liverpool interest in Bradley Barcola with a major bid being prepared
With 15 goals and eight assists for club and country this season, Barcola is attracting a lot of attention, but it’s his pace and ability to devastate a back line out of nowhere that is so impressive.
According to Caught Offside, Arsenal are looking for exactly that quality to strengthen the squad that lifted the Premier League title in May, with the added bonus of being able to snatch Barcola from Liverpool seen as appealing.
The report reads: “Arsenal are preparing a bid worth around €80m, but PSG’s valuation is believed to be above €100m.
“That gap could make negotiations difficult, especially with Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and other European clubs all monitoring the situation.
“His camp remains in contract talks with PSG but his disappointment over major-game minutes is real. The frustration over his role is the key part of the story. Barcola was disappointed at being left out of PSG’s Champions League final starting XI.”
Liverpool seem all in on signing Diomande, but Barcola joining Arsenal is worrying, as he’s exactly what they didn’t have last season: raw pace and goalscoring ability from wide areas. Bukayo Saka is a very good player, but his injury issues will concern Arsenal. If the North London club can sign someone like Barcola, it will make them formidable indeed.
