AS Monaco have now dropped their asking price for Lamine Camara as they need to make a sale to comply with financial restrictions.
A report from journalist Romain Molina states that AS Monaco are now willing to let Camara leave for less than their previously stated €70m asking price.
Liverpool are still unlikely to make a move for Camara after Ben Jacobs reported earlier today that although the Reds considered him for transfer, they will not make a move.
Jacobs said: “Lamine Camara, second option, player is keen on the move. Now Liverpool have looked as well, but I’m told they will not do the move this window. So Camara may be faced with a choice. Does he wait for Liverpool?

Monaco ready to accept around €50m
Chelsea had a €45m (£38.6m) bid rejected for Camara, but a €50m (£42.8m) offer could not get the deal done, according to Molina, as a deal to sell Folarin Balogun has collapsed.
He reports: “Thiago Scouro was bragging and demanding 70 million this afternoon from Chelsea for Lamine Camara. After the recent events related to Balogun, the asking price has bizarrely dropped to around 50 + bonuses The outcome is near: will they have time to get the paperwork done?.”

If there was a late chance to sign a midfielder for Liverpool, this is it.
