Liverpool are set to sign Bradley Barcola for around £106m up front, with the finishing touches being put on what will be the second most expensive signing in the club’s history.
Last summer, Liverpool spent £125m to bring Alexander Isak to the club, and now Barcola will join for around £125m in total. Around £17m in add-ons will be required for the deal to reach its maximum value.
Barcola will be in Liverpool today after taking the time to bid farewell to his teammates and the staff at PSG, Fabrizio Romano reports, with the 23-year-old set to undergo a medical with the Reds before his move to Anfield becomes official.
Romano said: “Liverpool have booked a medical for Bradley Barcola on Sunday, then he will sign a five year deal until June 2031.
“Documents exchanged on Thursday and approved yesterday; Bradley wanted to say goodbye before travelling.
“Final fee: £106m plus £17m add-ons.”

The time that the private jet that is suspected to be carrying Barcola to Liverpool has reportedly been delayed by three hours and will land on Merseyside at lunchtime, according to Sky Sports’ Nicholas Bieber.

The PSG winger made a final stop at PSG’s training ground on Saturday as he gets ready to make his move to Anfield.

Barcola is expected to wear the No.29 kit number he has worn at PSG for the last three years, which is inspired by Alex Hunter from FIFA Career Mode.
“It’s actually a funny story,” Barcola explained previously. “When I was younger, I used to play FIFA. In the story mode with Alex Hunter, this number became symbolic for me. I thought to myself – the day I go pro, it’ll be number 29.” “And here I am, I adopted it, and now I’ll never let it go.”
Liverpool are signing Barcola right as he enters the prime years of his career, with the Frenchman set to become the talismanic winger the Reds need after allowing Mohamed Salah to make a free transfer to Trabzonspor earlier this summer.
In his best season for PSG (2024/25, Barcola scored 21 goals and assisted 21, with the expectation that he can exceed that level in the Premier League. He arrives as a two-time Champions League winner.
