Liverpool are in the market for a new attacker and their interest in PSG forward Bradley Barcola has not subsided.
It’s baffling that after spending £466million in the summer – mostly on attackers – that Liverpool are potentially still in need of two new wingers.
Arne Slot was gifted Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike and so far, only the latter can be considered an outright success after 15 Premier League games.
However, with Cody Gakpo too predictable and without any competition on the left-wing, it has been touted that Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo could be on his way to Anfield in January.
Liverpool are also now potentially in the market for a successor to Mohamed Salah in January given his explosive interview about his relationship with Arne Slot.
Liverpool are “on fire” for Bradley Barcola amid PSG’s attempt to renegotiate new contract
A report from French outlet le10sport claims that PSG are in discussions with Bradley Barcola and his representatives over a new extension to his contract, which expires in 2028.

Liverpool were interested in Barcola in the summer window but it was reported by Paul Joyce in August that such was the club’s faith in teenager Rio Ngumoha that a new left winger would not be signed despite Luis Diaz’s move to Bayern Munich.
That is now laughable as the 17-year-old has played just 42 minutes in the Premier League – as many expected.
Now, le10sport claims that Barcola received an offer from PSG that would make him one of the highest-paid players at the club. That offer is yet to be accepted or rejected but the 23-year-old is “not entirely satisfied with his situation at PSG , and his representatives are taking their time before making a concrete offer.”
After their summer interest, Liverpool are said to be “increasingly active” and are described as being “on fire” for the Frenchman.
Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta is also keen. The report states that “Arsenal has made a strong move to try and entice winger Barcola.”
Mohamed Salah could make way for Barcola

Primarily a left-winger, Barcola should not be shunted onto the right wing if Liverpool hope to make the best of him. More to the point, it would be very difficult to acclimatise to the Premier League while also playing an entirely different role.
That said, Barcola is a talented player and could be a success anywhere across the front line depending on how he is utilised. In recent years, there has been something of a resurgence of wingers not playing on the opposite flank to their stronger foot.
Liverpool need to make sure, however, that they make the right choices in the transfer market given how this season’s new signings have struggled to adapt.
