Transfer speculation linking Mohamed Salah with a potential move to Saudi Arabia has resurfaced once again, with new reports suggesting interest from clubs in the Middle East remains strong.

Salah has consistently been the subject of attention from Saudi teams in recent years, with previous approaches reportedly rejected by his club.

Despite remaining a central figure in Liverpool’s attacking setup, rumours surrounding his long-term future continue to circulate whenever transfer windows approach.

According to the latest reports, Saudi Pro League clubs remain eager to sign one of the Premier League’s most recognisable forwards.

Salah’s global profile, combined with his consistent goal-scoring record, makes him an attractive option for clubs looking to strengthen both their sporting and commercial presence.

While the news of a transfer has generated discussion among fans, there is currently no confirmation that an official offer has been submitted. Instead, the situation appears to revolve around ongoing interest rather than active negotiations.

Jamie Carragher doesn’t envision Saudi transfer for Salah

Speaking on The Overlap podcast, Jamie Carragher said he doesn’t see Salah making the move to the Middle East.

Carragher said: “I think Mo Salah, the way he’s driven like a Ronaldo, I don’t see the Saudi thing just yet.

“I can see him in Italy with one of the giants. I just think your career’s over when you go there (Saudi Arabia). I think he’ll still be looking at his Champions League record or how many goals he can get.

“I still think he thinks, ‘I’m still one of the best players, and me leaving now is not the end of my top-level career, I’ve still got something to give’.”

For now, the speculation surrounding Salah serves as a reminder of the growing influence of Saudi football on the global transfer market.

With financial resources available to pursue elite players, the league continues to attract attention across Europe.

As the transfer window draws closer, further developments may emerge, but Salah’s exit remains imminent regardless of where he goes.
