During his time as Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp made sure to establish key values at the club which he demanded new signings conform to.

The German head coach was big on conducting extensive character checks on new signings which is why Liverpool’s squad feels so much like a family when compared to other massive clubs.

The effect this approach has had on Liverpool is amazing with the likes of Federico Chiesa, who played just 104 minutes in the Premier League, enjoy their time at the club even when they’re not playing.

Speaking to LFCTV after the trophy lift on Sunday at Anfield, Chiesa spoke about how much he has enjoyed his first year at the club and how it doesn’t matter how much he plays.

When asked about the song Liverpool fans created for him, the Italian replied, saying: “The song… I have to thank the fans for that. I didn’t play that much this season but to receive that support from the fans is just amazing. I have to thank them, and the song has a good tune!”

Chiesa continued: “I’m so proud of the team. when I first came here they immediately made me feel like part of the team, they supported me during the tough time I had this year. I have to thank them all. I’m a teammate! I’m one of the boys. even in training I tried to give my best.”

Florian Wirtz quotes prove he is a perfect fit for the family dynamic that has been fostered at Liverpool Football Club

Liverpool are closing in on a club-record move to sign Bayer Leverkusen prodigy Florian Wirtz with the Reds reportedly willing to pay him around £320,000 per week.

Yet, everything I read about him in the press suggests he has his head firmly fixedd on his shoulders – something he clearly has his parents to thank for,

In early May, Wirtz gave an interview to the German edition of Sports Illustrated and said he doesn’t care about money but rather only has his attention fixed on how to have the best career possible.

He said: “When I moved from Cologne to Leverkusen, I didn’t think for a second about what my salary would be.”

Wirtz continued: “I was only interested in what would be best for my career.

“I don’t think about how much money I have in my account, or how much I could earn in the future. The sporting perspective is much more important than money. My parents would be angry if I ever gave money priority.”

With Wirtz pretty much certain to make the move to LFC, it’s exciting to know that they have a superstar-level signing incoming but even better, the club can rest easy knowing he won’t be rocking the boat with his arrival.
